2013年4月5日 · I suddenly waxed nostalgic as I recalled rumors of Gene's unfinished Adam Again album to be titled "Guadalupe" and how it inspired me to write a song with that same name. The lyric is filled with remembrance and longing for my grandfather and all the places we went fishing together, but somehow the song was about Gene as well.

Sticks and Stones epitomized the 77's musical cross pollination of past and present. "MT" is probably the Sevens' best attempt at modern pop, with a muscular guitar hook that rocks your teeth out and quirky, synth-based groove that doesn't give in to new wave cheekiness.

The 77's are a Bay Area band whose 1984 debut LP, All Fall Down, hit the top of many college charts. Their new release explores the terrain between rollicking rock and lugubrious blues, using memorable hooks, quirky guitars and heady lyrics.

It is a little known fact, but The 77's actually won a Dove Award in 1983 for the "Different Kind Of Light" video, even beating out Amy Grant!! And who's behind the kit? None other than "the original rocker" himself, Mark Proctor.

Not many people appreciate "mosh pits" occurring in their church, but to see a 77's show you just can't sit on your laurels, you have to get involved. How do you explain to people the mission of the band and why you guys aren't on stage preaching the Gospel during a rock concert?
