As a part of the 502d Air Base Wing and the 802d Force Support Squadron, the Military Personnel Flight for Joint Base San Antonio is the largest in the Air Force and services all branches of military, their dependents and retirees in the local area.

The Air Force is the lead agency for Joint Base San Antonio, comprising three primary locations at JBSA-Fort Sam Houston, JBSA-Lackland and JBSA-Randolph, plus eight other operating locations and 266 mission partners.

Lackland AFB is part of Joint Base San Antonio (JBSA) located in San Antonio, Texas. The 802nd Mission Support Group oversees base operations and supports all units stationed at Lackland, including the 37th Training Wing. Lackland is the only location for the Air Force enlisted Basic Military training, which falls under the 37th Training Wing.
