2013年5月11日 · I finally came back to SE with a PSE amp. I hadn't tried that before and it really worked with PSE 4P1Ls in the output. Crucially, I was able to run all the tubes in filament bias so no cathode bypasses, and all transformer coupled.

2021年5月24日 · You will be surprised how well good 807 tubes match their self bias voltages (and therefore how well they match their cathode currents). They will match well enough for parallel single ended. Be sure to use individual grid stopper resistors for the control grids.

2013年9月4日 · The 807 is a higher voltage version of the 6L6G. I believe it was first manufactured around 1937-38. The 807 was used in radio frequency transmitters and at times audio modulators for AM transmission. Both ham radio and WWII equipment made the 807 very popular for use up to 30mHz.

2021年1月2日 · Built myself a new toy over the Christmas holidays, see below. It's a SE 807 amp based on the Blue Glow/Triode Dick design. All the iron is Transendar, mostly Kiwame resistors, IC coupling caps, and Nichicon electrolytics. The large 30uf cap between the chokes is temporary as a Solen film cap will take it's place once it arrives.
