Originally completed as a regular production road car, this F40 was acquired in 1991 by Roberto Angiolini. It was subsequently upgraded to GT specifications by Michelotto for use in the Italian GT Championship. Entered by Jolly Club, and liveried in striking Shell colours, it was raced by Marco Brand during the 1993 season.

The only F40 to win an FIA championship. Chassis #80742 was, and is, the most successful F40 in existence. Won 9 out of 10 races in the 1993 Italian GT races and the 1993 championship. Most winning car in the 1994 Italian GT season.

2019年3月11日 · In September 1994, chassis 80742 was sold to Team Taisan, the renowned Japanese outfit run by Yasutsune ‘Ricky’ Chiba for the Taisan Industrial Company. Bought to contest the Japanese GT Championship, it joined Taisan’s second F40 (80780) that had been running in the series all year.
