2008年2月2日 · The 1981 Suzuki RM-250 is my bike of choice for vintage racing. The only real problem with this bike it that it had a reputation for breaking the crank main bearing journals. I've seen many fixes, some good and some questionable.

Congrats. Love the 81 RM250. Last of the air cooled motors and first year full floater. Can't get any better than that. Great find, I'm jealous!

2023年10月31日 · Im restoring a 81 rm250, the rear shock is bad, so Ive picked up another decent one, both do not have a remote reservoir. However, looking at the on line parts diagrams, they always show this model RM has a shock with a remote.

The ’81 RM250 had a bore of 67mm and a stroke of 70 mm, changed to a 70 mm bore and 64 mm stroke in the ’82 model, significantly improving power feedback at lower revs. From here on, the RM250 got minor updates, like a redesigned framework and new power valves, until 1989, when it finally received another top-to-bottom makeover.
