2014年2月27日 · keep the top end and crank fresh, as well as the "Full Floater" bearings lubed. I've had an 82 and 83. The 82 is legandary for its motor, but I prefered the 83, with an 82 head. The suspension on the 83 was much better stock, and had way more potential. Bottom line, keep everything fresh, and find an 82 head.

2009年3月10日 · It's a standard Mikuni 4/042 hex jet, common as dirt. The 55 pilot is a little rich, so a 52 is waiting to go in. The RM manual describes the shock rebuild process; it doesn't look too bad. When you're done, you can bring it to a dealer for nitrogen recharge.

2009年5月17日 · I've been looking for a 1982 RM250 for a while now and I finally found a low hour, unrestored bike about five miles from home. I picked it up yesterday from the second owner that has owned it since '86. The seller said the original owner trail rode it a couple of times and he put another 25-30 hours of trail riding on it over the years.

2014年8月16日 · 1981, 1982, and 1983 Suzuki RM-250s had that style of swingarm. I'm calling it a 1982 just because that's what you're saying the bike is, even though the 1982 RM had a black frame (that you say has been painted blue).

1982: The liquid-cooled RM250 of 1982 reigns supreme as the best 250 of the year. It’s faster, lighter and has better suspension than anything in the class. Honda, Yamaha and Kawasaki have off-years, but recover quickly. In 1983, the RM250 loses power and the other Japanese companies catch up.
