2024年11月30日 · FM30 (829B) reminds me of a cross between 2A3 and 805 (or 211), still pretty neutral and clear, but richer meats on bones through lower-midrange to bass. Reminder that this amp has KILLER headphone output jack. Something like Sennheiser HD6xx series with Oratory1990 PEQ settings sound astoundingly good. And no background noise!

2012年2月8日 · The 829B amp was rebuilt on a 12" x 12" sheet of polycarbonate as an amplifier module. There were no changes to the circuit. It sounded a little brighter if anything compared to the first version. Curiously, the light bulbs do not flicker as much now, except at high.er volumes.

2009年9月12日 · I have built an 829B push-pull amp, although it is currently wired in UL. Do note that the 829B has unusually high miller capacitance, so you will want a driver that has very, very low output impedance, unless you don't need your treble.
