The 85 mm air defense gun M1939 (52-K) (Russian: 85-мм зенитная пушка обр. 1939 г. (52-К)) [4] was an 85 mm (3.3 in) Soviet anti-aircraft gun, developed under guidance of leading Soviet designers M. N. Loginov and G. D. Dorokhin.

The 85-mm divisional gun D-44 (Russian: 85-мм дивизионная пушка Д-44) was a Soviet divisional 85-mm calibre field artillery gun used in the last action of World War II. It was designed as the replacement for the 76 mm divisional gun M1942 (ZiS-3) .

It was designed as the replacement for the 100 mm field gun M1944 (BS-3). Distinguishing features of the D-48 include a very long barrel and a pepper-pot muzzle brake.

The 85-mm divisional gun D-44 (Russian: 85-мм дивизионная пушка Д-44) was a Soviet divisional 85mm calibre field artillery gun. The barrel was developed from that of the T-34-85 tank and was capable of firing 20–25 high-explosive (HE), armor-piercing, and high-explosive antitank (HEAT) projectiles per minute.

Captured 85mm anti-aircraft guns (52-k) were regarded by the Germans as prized trophies. Sufficient guns and ammunition were captured for the type to be taken into German service as the 8.5cm Flak M.39 (r ).

The 85mm 52-K was the best Soviet anti-aircraft gun of the war and was issued in large number. It was used to equip heavy anti-aircraft regiments with the national air defense force. Some were also issued to anti-tank units and used during the battle of Kursk.
