Jul 6, 2017 · The FT-891 has NO internal tuner, and also doesn't give you much choice for an automatic tuner (yet). This is something to consider, given that the FT-450D does offer a basic antenna matching (tuner) device. The FT-891 is a newer rig, and it will likely take time for companies such as LDG to come out with a dedicated 3rd-party tuner.

Therefore, if you are transmitting and your spectral neighbor is 10 kHz away and within 1 mile of you, he/she will see a 4 S-unit increase in noise every time you key up.

I found it easy to set up, has great sound. Yaesu has even enlarged the display from what was on the FT-857D! The FT-891 is replacing my FT-857D in my mobile.

Mar 13, 2018 · There is no VHF or UHF in the IC-7300, so what does all this mean.vi used the FT-891 for over 6 hours running 15 watts, 15AH Lifepo4 battery and it still had charge left. The FT-891 is great for portable use.
