2023年2月19日 · 8x53R was definitely easier to make than 11mm. Took my old 7.62x54r brass annealed, trimmed, and neck resized through a 8mm Lebel die. I ran into an issue of not being able to chamber as the top half of the cartridge was too wide.

Murata Type 22 8x53R caliber rifle. Scarce Japanese military bolt action repeater. Not many of these survived the 1930’s as Japan needed steel. Serial numbers are matching, except for the floor plate. Bore has strong rifling with frosting. Stock has a cartouche and a small crack near tang. Good-very good overall condition.

2025年2月2日 · Up for auction is a Japanese made Type 46 Siamese Mauser chambered in 8x52R Siamese. This rifle is a bit confusing to most collectors since it has a strange fusion of both German Mauser, and Japanese Arisaka elements.

This particular rifle was upgraded by the Siames to 8X53R Siamese which is a slightly longer 8X50R with a pointed Spitzer style bullet. You can tell because the rear sight was ground to accommodate the trajectory of the more flat shooting 8X53R.
