Re: 8x57JS & 8x57IS???? Willie, using the 8x57J dies (0.318") to load 8x57S (0.323") shouldn't cause any problems, you will just have more neck tension on the larger diameter bullet because of the smaller diameter expander ball.

2011年8月9日 · Re: 8x57JS & 8x57IS???? My 8mm is shot with open sights, the look of military rifles appeal to me so I kept my 8x57 and 303 as is. I have to agree about long distance shooting not quite as fun a sneaking up close.

2005年7月6日 · I used the nosler bullet seating depth instruction where you use a fired case and black flet pen to find the OAL on my .270WSM. I am useing sierra game kings 130BT. What would be a good starting point off the lands? What have you had good luck with and is there a general rule of thumb? Thanks.

2010年3月3日 · For all intents and purposes, the 8x57 ballistics are pretty much the same as the venerable .3006. It is a good option for plains game up to and including kudu / gemsbuck size game - experienced hunters using premium bullets will have no hassle taking eland.

Sauer 100 Classic XT - Shooters Forum
2019年7月28日 · I just recently purchased a Sauer 100 Classic XT in a 8x57IS. I've been looking for an additional magazine for this rifle but I'm having a hard time locating a source to buy one of these online. Midway, Midsouth, Natchez, and Brownells all do not have this part. I emailed Sauer and they pointed me to eurooptic.com.

Yes I know. My friend has the 8x57IS (It's I not J) and has warned be about that. The only rifles I haven't shot, of those I'm looking at, are the 6.5x55 and the Mosin. I have access to reloading for the Lee Enfield and the 8x57IS Mauser.
