The 8x60RS offers shooters a wide range of bullet weights, from 160 to as heavy as 250 grains, providing great accuracy at long distances while still being able to remain relatively low recoil.

The 8×60mm S is a rimless bottlenecked centerfire cartridge of German origin, dating back to the interbellum period between World War I and World War II. The bore has the same dimensions as the German 7.92×57mm Mauser service cartridge (designated as "S-bore").

8x60 RS is a reference to 8x60 R (.323). This means that we have determined that these two calibers are either identical, or close enough that they can be reloaded with the same dies. Referenced calibers may have some differences requiring some differing accessories. The most common difference is shell holders.

2024年6月21日 · I saw more on the 8x60 rimless but this rimmed version is out there as well. The rim is serrated like coins, only deeper and sharper. The bullet is odd with a driving band midway on the exposed part of the bullet. I found a catalog online which I think is referring to the bullet. It looks like they break up on impact.

2015年5月2日 · My long term goal would be to shoot this paper patched over black powder with a bullet weight close to the original (247 grains as I understand). The groove is .330. Now, I have played around with paper patching for my M95 (8x56r and also .330 groove) using a lee C324-175 bullet so right now that is what I have to start with.
