2009年4月2日 · The 97 xc 440 did not have exhaust valves, It was a 440 fujiji mono block. Same motor as 96 xcr 440, it also had the bigger gauges compared to most indy's. 2013年10月11日 · The consumer version of the '97 was the XC 440. From what I remember, the '97 XCR 440 was the racer only model with the different motor. I think the '97 XC 440 was basically a '96 XCR 440 SP. So the '97 XCR had the exhaust valves, liberty motor and the '97 XC did not if I remember correctly.

2009年1月9日 · It is the XC model with the Fuji engine and not the domestic twin. I've been reading up on this post about the performance differences between the 96 xcr and the 97 xc engine. Aside from the timing issue, is there anything else i can do with my engine to get it to perform at the 96 xcr level?

2011年9月8日 · The head (or at least the head cover) is from a 96 XCR 440 Special or a 97 XC 440. The engine serial number would indicate that it is a 96 model, but if it were a true XCR Special motor, I think it would be EC45PL-008******, not EC45PL-005***** if I remember correctly.

2008年8月27日 · So as some of you know i redently bought a 1997 Polaris Xcr 440. So i figure i can just have a topic i can regularly update instead of making multiple topics. The sled has 140 Psi in each cylinder. But came with a kink in the tunnel and a crack in the front nose cone.

2006年10月6日 · When hell freezes over I'll ride there too! A '97 XC 440 is not rare. They had an XTRA-10 suspension and performed like any prior liquid 440 that Polaris had. If you want to hit 95 mph, get on a long, straight, flat, ice-covered road. Then hold it to the cobb for about 2 miles.

2015年2月8日 · Been cruising web looking for a clutch set up for my '97 xc 440. Not a lot out there. Some say Polaris blue primary with 10a or al weights and Polaris red secondary with r8 helix.

2020年7月22日 · Does anyone know how many xcr 440s polaris made in 97? Are they a rare? It has the VES engine with the unpainted head. While I'm not an expert on those and do not know production numbers, I think those are on the rare side for sure. There are plenty of people here that do know. Is this one of the red ones with the clear sculpted gas tank?
