2004年12月31日 · The 99 Gen II, 99 XCR 440 SP Edge, and the 2000 XC 440 Sp , had different engines, all three had different exhaust valves, The 1999 440 edge had exhaust valves like the 2001 xc sp's, the 2000 xc 440 sp are electronicaly controlled and are rpm sensitive.

Im still looking for Specs on what it actually has for shocks and spring rates? The rear Skid shock is a Fox Clicker With a remote resivoir and a coil-over shock.

2008年12月10日 · This one would be a 1999 XCR SP. The Cylinders are diff. from the 97,98,99 XCR builds. Its the first liberty 440 with the TMX carbs that can be finicky. For some reason Polaris changed the Y pipe on the 99sp and the 2000-xc sp to a 8 bolt design instead of 6. The y pipe has an equalizer chamber built into it.

2002年1月8日 · Polaris-man is wrong when he said the 99 440 xcr sp in the edge is the same chassis as the production sleds. These race chassis are different. The difference was mostly in the suspensions geometry. 2000-2001 production chassis have the same reinforcement brackets that the race sled had from the 2000.

2006年1月12日 · Nope! In 99 they had 2 versions of the XCR 440. The GenII was for consumer and the Edge in 99 was for the racers. The 99 440 (Edge) was a high strung engine and would not make a good tail sled. In 2000 it became the XC 440 in the Edge...nice looking sled..more trail friendly than the 99 440 in he Edge body.

2009年11月28日 · Also, would having a (probably) '99 XCR 440 SP pipe on a (again probably :/ ) 2002 Pro-X 440 motor damage the motor? Or would it be close enough because they were both 440s? I am also thinking this motor has got to be out of a '02 Polaris 440 Pro-X because that is the only 2002 440cc sled I can find that Polaris put out that year.

2005年12月12日 · There was a 99 EDGE chassis 440 XCR SP. It was a race sled only available to racers or those lucky enough to somehow get there hands on a new one for trail riding.The 99 EDGE chassis is actually a bit different than the newer EDGE's, it is about 3 inches longer I believe which was shortened in 2000 to improve cornering and handling.

2005年2月22日 · YES the 440's are powerful, the 440 sp's put out as much hp as the larger 500's did. They put most of their power to the ground. If you can find a later 90's 440 like a 97-99 xcr 440 you will be amazed. The domestic 440 with ves puts out 98hp.

2018年3月8日 · i would take a 98/99 xcr 440 wedge and gen 2 over the edge pos. these first edge race 440's were absolute junk. there were bending the bulkhead under the motor, the motor faded badly after a couple of laps,the rear suspension broke constantly etc. this was the first polaris sled designed totally by cad? with no field testing. but the computer said it would work? idiots. they were the laughing ...
