The Porsche 991 is the seventh generation of the Porsche 911 sports car, which was unveiled at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show on 15 September as the replacement for the 997. The 991 was an entirely new platform, only the third since the original 911 launched in 1963 (the 996 of 1999 was the second new platform).

2020年1月13日 · Has anyone had experience of the cab vs. coupe, and could offer me some advice as to the pro's and con's of the cab, ie. cleaning the hood, noise and draughts etc. when driving. I've read that the 991 has a softer ride (if required) than my 997. Is this correct? Anyone had both? This question would be better posted in 991 forum! [] It is now.....

Obviously one has a retractable folding hardtop but what are some of the lesser obvious differences? For example, the bulge on the back is higher up for the roof to fold in to.
