92219 was built at Swindon in January 1960 and spent all of its working life under BR ownership based at Cardiff. It moved from Cardiff Canton to Cardiff East Dock a month before the former depot closed.

Nine 9F's survive today with 92203 Black Prince, 92134 and 92214 all operational today. Evening Star, 92212 and 92240 have both run during preservation, while 92207, 92219 and 92245 all still to steam.
