The Douglas A-20 Havoc (company designation DB-7) is an American light bomber, attack aircraft, night intruder, night fighter, and reconnaissance aircraft of World War II. Designed to meet an Army Air Corps requirement for a bomber, it was ordered by France for their air force before the USAAC decided it would also meet their requirements.

It was followed by the "A-20H", which was much the same as a late-production A-20G, but with more powerful Wright R-2600-29 Twin Cyclones, providing 1,270 kW (1,700 HP) each. One block of A-20Hs was built with the older R-2600-23 engines, fitted with flame dampers, suggesting they were intended for the night intruder mission.

Restored by Carl Scholl and Stewart Dawson, this 1944 A-20G, owned by Lewis Air Legends based in Texas, flies beautifully. There are over 37 vintage airplanes in Rod Lewis’ collection.

The Douglas A-20 Havoc was a light-bomber, attack and night-fighter and one of the first American aircraft to serve in World War II. First built during the late-1930s, the majority of Havocs served with the Soviets, with the next biggest operator being the US Army Air Force (USAAF), followed by Great Britain.

The A-20H was powered by two 1,267kW R-2600-29 engines and incorporated minor improvements. The A-20J was identical to the later version of the A-20G except that the attack nose was replaced by a moulded-plastic bombardier's nose incorporating bombing controls and flight navigation instruments.
