The A321neo (neo being an acronym for "new engine option") is developed from the Airbus A321 and Airbus A320neo family. It is the longest stretched fuselage of Airbus's A320 series, and the newest version of the A321, with the original A321ceo entering service in 1994 with Lufthansa. [2]

Integrating the latest engine generation and Sharklet™ wingtip devices, the A321neo delivers 20% less fuel burn and CO 2 emissions* while flying up to 4,000nm. With the longest-fuselage of any A320 family aircraft, it offers a seating capacity of 180 to 220 passengers in a typical two-class configuration and 244 passengers in a high-density layout.

The Airbus A321neo offers two types of engines, Pratt & Whitney Pure Power PW1100G-JM and CFM LEAP-1A.

2022年9月3日 · The PW1100G engines power the A319, A320 and A321 aircraft of the Single Aisle New Engine Option (NEO) family. PW1100G engines are available in several thrust ratings. The geared turbo fan engine reduces fuel consumption, air pollution and noise.

2023年7月6日 · United Airlines' choice of Pratt & Whitney GTF engines for A321neos has led to operational setbacks. Disconnection in the supply chain has caused issues with multiple grounded aircraft due to engine problems. Following a comprehensive flight test programme, the A321neo powered by Pratt & Whitney’s PurePower PW1100G-JM engines received joint Type Certification from the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) on 15th December 2016.

A320-271N is powered by the Pratt & Whitney PW1127G (see table, page 28).
