AAU Volleyball is committed to supporting our athletes through quality training of our referees and officials. AAU provides a variety of referee education resources and certifications supporting the approximate 700,000 members across the country. In 2019, Volleyball was the largest sport of participation within AAU, having 160,000+ members!

The AAU Volleyball Officials Training and Certification Program will provide education, training and evaluation opportunities for members, increasing the number of officials involved, their understanding of the rules and associated techniques, and ultimately their level of performance.

Officials must be certified by the National Referees' Council and awarded a rank to officiate any AAU-sponsored Karate event. It is the aim of the Amateur Athletic Union National Karate Committee to maintain the highest standards of officiating in order to promote fairness and good sportsmanship at karate competitions and tournaments.
