However, if I drive for about 30 min it finally start to blow cold air (compressor engaged). I decided to check pressure as the first step.

2015年10月22日 · BMW designed the AC in the E46 to keep only the driver cool when the AC system is low on refrigerant (R134a). So, if the driver's side blows cold air but the passenger side blows warm air the AC system is low on refrigerant.

2015年6月25日 · When refilling from empty, look for the green sticker and look for the amount of R134a in grams. You'll want to then figure out how many cans you need (12oz = 340grams). Get a proper AC manifold gauge, a set from harbor freight is cheap and works well, and get a tap for those A/C cans so you can attach them to the hoses.

2020年5月31日 · Make sure the 3 oz can of oil recharge you get contains PAG 46 oil. PAG 100 or 150 is NOT compatible with e46 system. An alternative method is to use another 12 oz of r134a instead of the 3oz bottle of oil additive. You will weight this last bottle on a scale and add the appropriate amount.

Hi everyone. I have an ac problem. Had it checked out by a proper mechanic. AC wont blow cold through vents. He says it is due to an ac actuator failure. He also says he has to order part from BMW in Germany. Has to remove whole dash and find the faulty one. May cost 1600.00 or twice as much depending on what they find. Car works great otherwise.

2009年6月10日 · Remove the three bolts and take compressor off of the car. This is the crucial part of any A/C job. With the Compressor and the drier out you need to flush out the A/C condenser and Evaporator. This really is crucial. I used an alcohol based A/C flush to do this. Here is a picture of what I use to flush out the system.
