Many late Phase IIc and all Phase III SD35s had the newer Flexicoil truck design (FC-2L), but the older design (FC-1C) was still available as an option so the trucks are not a phase marker.

2010年11月30日 · I have just completed the DCC sound install for the Atlantic Coast Line (ACL) SD35 - see link - and am now ready to start updating the loco to how it looked in CSX service pre-1994.

Built in the 1960s by ElectroMotive Division (EMD), the 2,500 hp SD-35 Locomotive was a 6-axle road switcher. It was a popular locomotive with approximately 360 units being built in a relatively short period between 1964 and 1966.

0008 was built in October 1964, #29587, as ACL 1008, SD35. It became SCL 1908 in July 1967 and rebuilt as 0008 in 1978. It became SBD 0008 in 1983 and became CSX 1008, Class H-15, in 1987. It was retired on January 30, 1992, and sold for scrap to Cycle System.

From the mid-1960s through the 1980s, the SD-35 could be found in road service on both large and mid-sized roads across the US.
