2024年3月28日 · Definition: Developmental Test & Evaluation (DT&E) is a test used to compare a system or components against requirements and specifications to reduce risk and inform developers of current performance status.

Developmental Test & Evaluation is the type of testing which verifies that the system under test meets all technical requirements. Any testing used to assist in the development and maturation of products, product elements, or manufacturing or support processes.

ITRAs provide senior leaders with an independent view of program technical risk, including the maturity of critical technologies and manufacturing processes. The Engineering team conducts ITRAs on Acquisition Category (ACAT) ID programs for USD (R&E) approval and maintains the policy and guidance for ITRAs.

Focus: Develop a system or increment of capability, reduce manufacturing risk, & ensure supportability. Also demonstrate system integration, interoperability, safety, & utility.

PM, Lead for T&E, and program team perform programmatic and T&E monitor and control functions as defined in the contract. They assist the earned value management (EVM) implementation by monitoring the criteria for completion of T&E events, activities, and delivered products.
