A .acsm file is a "Adobe Content Server Message File." It can be opened by Adobe Digital Editions. There is a free Digital Editions 1.7.2 installer that can be downloaded from the Adobe website.

2013年5月28日 · Won't work with the RT though, the RT cannot install regular Windows software. Adobe does have one or more apps in the Store which may open the ACSM file format. Worth taking a search for in the Store. If the Surface RT series become more popular, I would expect that software makers will start making ebook readers for restricted formats.

2019年4月24日 · I am trying to make Adobe Digital Editions the default app to open .acsm files, to allow reading of downloaded ebooks from the university collection. When I got to Settings>Apps>Default Apps>Choose Default apps by File Type and go down to .acsm, it says "there is no installed app for this type of file or protocol."

The .acsm file remains linked to Word 2016 as a default. I was able to go into Win10 Settings -> Apps -> Default Apps -> Choose Default App by File Type and locate the .acsm file type. It is set to Word 2016, but when I click on it to modify, the only option is the Microsoft Store.

2018年6月27日 · Hello, I have installed Adobe Digital Editions Version 4.5.8, but I cannot select it for acsm files as a default program. For epub file it was able to select ADE. I have an Adobe ID and authorized my
