2018年3月23日 · piCorePlayer AES/EBU "hat"--> XLR --> Genelec digital AES/EBU input For the analog chain I could control volume via piCorePlayer, the DAC or a preamplifier. I would likely use a preamplifier to also connect an analog source. For the digital chain I assume I would have to use piCorePlayer to control the volume. Does all this sound correct?

2018年2月6日 · Sorry if this comes across a bit lazy but I'm looking for a DAC that supports AES digital in, and that will not break the bank. Would rather not spend a grand. Open to used deals. I just see mostly 'Pro' gear and more expensive products supporting AES/EBU. Would appreciate some extra input. Thanks

2020年7月10日 · It also carries a stereo signal, so you only need one AES/EBU xlr cable for stereo audio, whereas analog xlr cables carry only one channel. Also note that XLR connectors are directional, and will always have male connectors as signal output side (they will have pins) and the female connectors for signal input (with holes).

2020年6月7日 · I run usb into a Topping D10 and then S/PDIF out of the D10 to a Monarchy DIP. The DIP adds an accurate jitter free clock and outputs AES/EBU. About $250 total for the 2 devices on the preowned market.

2022年5月27日 · Theoretically, one could use an SPDIF coax output with a converter cable (Coax to XLR) to plug into AES. But there are some limitations and it not always works. I will try to gather here all of the devices that I could find that could act as a good USB bridge with as many different digital outputs opitions as possible, concentrating on AES support.

2021年4月10日 · In my limited experience I have never found a case where an AES/EBU receiver refused to work with an SPDIF format and vice versa (I can test for this with my AP machine).
