2012年5月29日 · Wrong. Air flow is important but air velocity is even more important. Larger vavles and runners slow down the velocity. Less power! Air velocity = throttle response and driveabilty. Until the air in the ports reaches super-sonic speeds, these AFR 165's are the most efficient heads on the market. Keep the rev's under 6500 and you will love them!

2002年6月11日 · Reluctantly I have decided to go with AFR 165 heads (58cc) for my LX build up. My original plan was to go with AFR 185's, Comp Cams XE282HR (232/240 duration at 0.050", 0.565/0.574 lift, 112 degrees separation) and a Trick Flow R-Series intake manifold.

2003年5月22日 · It shows that the standard .550 AFR #8020 spring has specs of #120 seat (at 1.800)& #300 open and a rate of #345. Here is the weird part. In my comp cams catalog the 987 has the same #344 rate as the AFR. The #138 seat is listed at 1.750. If you take the 987's and put them at AFR's 1.800, the pressure goes down to AFR's #120 seat.
