AKG C414 on acoustic guitar - HomeRecording.com
2005年3月30日 · Akg I like the C414 in omni for acoustic guitar about 18" away from the soundhole, though my room is well treated. Cardoid always works well also. But anyway, I could be wrong but the E string on an acoustic resonates at around 82 hz, so I believe the 150hz lo cut might not be so good. I would either go for 80hz cut or none and EQ it later. I track with a little compression if I to bring out ...
AKG C 414 on electric guitar? - HomeRecording.com
2005年8月16日 · The 414 excels at recording acoustic instruments, whether it be on a drum kit, piano, acoustic guitar, etc. And for amps 414's can do well with cleaner tones, like those coming off of a Roland Jazz Chorus or a clean setting on a Fender amp. But if you want to put a mic on a cranked distorted amp for rock, that's not really where a 414 shines. For general purpose I'd recommend the B-ULS version ...
Is it ok to use an akg 414 on a guitar amp? spl?
2010年3月10日 · I have been using my beloved 414 on electric guitar amps it sounds great. I am a little concerned whether this will destroy the quality of the mic at all. I know that a local studio uses 414's on guitar amps, but other people i have spoken to are not so sure that it …
AKG C414 vs. Shure KSM44? - HomeRecording.com
2005年1月16日 · AKG had a rep back in the day and were one of the major manufacturers of some stunning mics. Those days are gone. The only mics AKG makes anymore that are worth writing home about are the 414's, D112 and 451. I would pick the ADK TL or one of the AKG 414's over the KSM44. A very good deal now is on the discountinued 414 B-ULS and 414 TLII.
AKG 414, BULS or TL-II? - HomeRecording.com
2002年12月7日 · I have, with the intention of finding a good microphone for vocals for my home/project-studio, auditioned a number of LD-condensers, including ADK 51s, SP B1 and C1, Ksm32, TLM103 and AKG 414 TL-II, in the last couple of weeks. While some of the cheaper mics were surprisingly pleasent, I found...
Thoughts on AKG C414 XLII VS Neumann u87 for voice over?
2021年7月17日 · The U87 is going to be better for Voice Overs in my opinion although the AKG 414 iXL11 s decent - I just think it's too bright. For Voice over work I would look at the Shure SM7b.
Lower-cost alternatives to the AKG c414 for electric guitar
2020年9月23日 · Hello! I'm looking for recommendations for lower-cost alternatives to the AKG c414 for recording use in my home studio; particularly LDCs with max SPL levels high enough for close micing a loud electric guitar cabinet and with a similarly crispy high-end response to the c414. That said, it...
Rode NT2 vs AKG414 - HomeRecording.com
2003年4月19日 · As far as the 414 goes, it really depends largely on the model and year it came out. AKG is one of those companies that has a notorious habbit of changing everything they make every year, and frankly I've given up interest/desire in keeping up with all the models of the 414, although there are some on this board who know all about their history. For the most part, though, my own experience ...
Rode NT2-A vs AKG C414 vs Neumann TLM 103
2021年12月9日 · I was originally leaning towards the AKG C414 but I heard some samples of the Rode NT2-A and liked it a lot. I think I like the AKG C414 more than the Neumann TLM 103 specifically for mid range female voices, but the TLM 103 is often compared to the AKG C414 so curious what you guys think.
Akg C 414 - homerecording.com
2005年3月18日 · Then I brought home an AKG C 414 -B XL II. Just from the first small test the difference was so obvious (on Mackie Onyx preamps) that I instantly kept the AKG and returned the Røde. The pricetag is doubled on the AKG but the idea is that this is a mic that will be handy to have in the arsenal whatever the size of my studio will grow.
