The quirky design of this dual-element series of microphones makes them show no (or more correctly, negligible) proximity effect, thus capturing a very accurate tone of an instrument in close-mic’ing techniques.

I wish AKG still made these two-way mics. From what I understand the production costs were too high. But I'll take a $100 used d200e with a couple of scratches and no clip or box over a brand new sm57 at the same price any day.

2020年4月24日 · All of AKG 100 series mics were single capsule mics. The AKG D200 series mics are all coaxial mics. There were 4 varieties the D200, D202, D222, and the D224. The D200 and D202 both had sizable vents at the base of the mic. The D200 had no bass roll off settings and a conventional grill.

This is a used AKG D200C dynamic mic. A classic dynamic microphone from revered Austrian microphone manufacturers. This mic is in working condition, with some cosmetic wear and tear given its age.
