Die Lokomotive Am 841 war zwar modern, vermochte jedoch nicht in jedem Bereich voll zu überzeugen. Die Maschine war schlicht zu schwach und zu langsam. Ein Nachbau scheiterte daher an der Leistung der Lokomotive, denn die Baureihe Am 841 konnte selbst der Reihe Bm 6/6 nicht die Stange reichen.
