The AMC AMX/3 (alternate spelling: AMX III) is a mid-engine sports car produced by the American carmaker American Motors Corporation (AMC), which was presented to the Italian press in March 1970 and was to be produced in Germany by Karmann starting in 1971.

AMC-3 (formerly GE-3) is a commercial broadcast communications satellite owned by SES (and formerly GE Americom, then SES Americom, then SES World Skies). Launched on 4 September 1997, from Cape Canaveral, Florida, AMC-3 is a hybrid C-band / Ku-band satellite. It provides coverage to Canada, United States, Mexico, Caribbean.

2013年8月30日 · One can only presume the AMC officials agreed, and the very car that impressed them has now come up for sale. One of only six built, the AMX/3 is best known as number 4, and according to owner Walter Kirtland of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, it’s the only one of the six to have been branded not as an AMC but as an “AMX/3 by Bizzarrini.”

The project was called AMX/K and it convinced AMC management of the idea to actually build a mid-engined sports car, the AMX/3. March 1968, Meyers and Teague went to the Geneva Motor Show to meet Giorgetto Giugiaro and to ask him for a proposal.

Nine original AMX/3 chassis survive and all current locations and complete provenance since 1968 are now documented. Seven AMX/3 complete cars, one AMX/2 restored fiberglass Design Concept Push-Mobile, one AMX/K raw shell and one AMX/3 fiberglass Design Concept Push-Mobile unrestored, all survive, and complete provenance is documented.
