2013年11月12日 · Total bill came in around $1000. I had good cylinders and pistons so it went back together as a stock bore engine, some minor scoring on the crank so it got sent out. Other than that it was a pretty vanilla rebuild with new cam, carb, ignition, bearings, rings, oil pump, timing set. AMC parts cost about double what SB chevy parts cost.

2006年10月6日 · the 360 has a shorter stroke (3.44 vs 3.48) than the 350 chevy, and the 360 has a longer connecting rod (5.875 vs 5.7) and therefore the AMC 360 has a much better rod-to-stroke ratio than the 350 (1.708 vs 1.638) rod to stroke ratio effects when the strongest 'pull' happens on the inlet port versus how far the valve is open

2008年4月5日 · In my jeep/buggy i have an amc 360 with a 3 core radiator that is 25"wideX21"tall and 2" thick. With a 210 thermostat it will over heat when i'm using the skinny pedal. Right now all i have is a small electric fan from summit. The fan only covers the very center of the rad and is not very big. I just ordered a taurus fan off e-bay.

2008年11月22日 · FYI, the Motorcraft 2100 and 2150 is what came stock on amc 360 2-barrel engines. They are great when maintained, but most are far from that. Easy carb to install, tune and run is the Edelbrock 600 cfm Performer carb (1406 is what I run w/ EGR).

2003年7月13日 · 1969 and earlier AMC V8s used square exhaust port heads and those heads pretty much suck. The dog leg exhaust port heads are much better and flow about 50% more air than the square ports. The only exception in square port heads would be the 1969 Crane AMX/SS 390 heads- those are bad-ass, if not the best flowing head ever made from the factory.

2011年1月10日 · If you dont have that spacer you can have a small air leak between valve and valve seat causing ticking and ultimately ruining a valve and/or a seating surface. 7.800 is the middle of the tolerance for pushrod length for AMC V8's 74-91 and is doesnt really matter much if you mix and match old components.

2007年3月24日 · I run an AMC 360 in my YJ. You can not use CJ motor mounts unless you plan on making some sort of spacer. Reason being, the CJ frame is more narrow than a YJ, so when using a YJ frame the mounts are too short. I run the Advance Adapter motor mounts. I welded and drilled them to the frame just for a little extra strength.

2010年4月23日 · I just swapped in a '85 360 out of a G wagon, and I am having some issues with the oil pressure. When it is started the oil pressure is somewhere between 45-55 psi (cold). After warming up it drops to 10-15 psi at idle( 4 or 5 minutes). Then gradually goes to ZERO!! When you idle up to 1000 or 1500 rpm it jumps back to 20 psi then drops back to ...
