There are other architectures, but they're niche, and you would probably know if you had a CPU with one of those niche architectures because you would have bought the CPU with a particular goal in mind. Most CPUs that people buy for workstations, gaming PCs, etc., use amd64 architecture.

Dec 6, 2024 · Coming from a 7800X3D to a 9800X3D the normal every day tasks such as browsing and some light MS Office work are definitely quicker over the 7800X3D which to me was the only issue I had with that CPU. My Intel CPU's were much quicker in those tasks. The gaming difference is there as well between the two AMD CPU's, but not as noticeable.

I have had some problems with it the last few months, and recently sent it in for repair, and I received an email today saying the CPU was bad and that a new one was going to cost $725.00.
