2020年9月23日 · Turn on super virtual resolution in radeon settings & RIS leave it at it default 80%. use higher settings at 1440p but increase the resolution scale between 1440p & 4k. now do the comparative by turn RIS on an off. Basically you getting better image quality with the performance hit. DLSS 1 was blurry and RIS at times is better.

2023年6月18日 · RSR is not great but better than nothing. What I usually do to get better performanceis enable in game FSR2 and lower the resolution to 720p; however this makes the image slightly blurry. To offset the blurriness I enable Radeon Image Sharpening (RIS) from the AMD Adrenaline Software.

2023年7月28日 · I'll play with ris when I get the chance, for those who can't figure out how to use RSR with unsupported steam games, all you have to do is right click on the game via steam launcher, click on launch options and make sure it has the line " -window-mode exclusive", also make sure "disable Fullscreen optimization" under the game or game client properties.

Nvidia's driver-level sharpening isn't contrast adaptive. AMD literally made contrast adaptive sharpening, the freestyle filter was based off CAS after AMD introduced RIS. I'm using it (it being the generic sharpening) right now. It gets the job done …

2023年6月24日 · Rsr is different from ris. And much more finicky. Rsr only works if you are upscaling from 720p to 1080p. Whereas with RIS it is just sharpening the image a bit while running at 1080p. I’ve enjoyed RIS more in general but is best paired with fsr performance.

2023年8月19日 · Now i play 900p with fsr set to quality and ris and the game looks absolutely amazing plus I didn’t loose any fps. With my old settings I got about 20 more fps in Diablo 4 when I changed to 900p. But I was happy with my fps so I bumped up all quality settings instead and got the same fps as before. 900p and ris or rsr is absolutely amazing!
