2 is a venerable classic but 4 is more fun imo, especially if you're gonna be casual with it 👍. It's definitely worth it, it's an excellent game. If you only play campaign, then II will have more content and might be the choice. But if you play multiplayer i would choose IV. It has better mechanics in my opinion (landmarks, sacred sites...).
