2017年2月8日 · The unveiling event for AP1 was in October 2014, whereat it was disclosed that some cars already had the requisite hardware (commasign's note about when AP1 made it into production September 2014). And sure enough - it was parking sensors *and* the other hardware.

2016年10月10日 · For me, right now, AP1 feels much more solid (of course) with AP2 having a more dynamic feel to it. Like it is ready to do more but is being held back. Can't wait until next update on AP2 to get it more on par with AP1 to see if it overtakes it in performance. Basically it is chips (AP1) vs software (AP2)

2014年6月6日 · I have MCU1/AP1 and even though latest firmware 2020.48.12.1 made some small improvements to Spotify menus and organizatiton (eg, artists finally list alpabetically, etc), my biggest daily frustration with the car is that Spotify frequently just quits playing after a while - literally almost every time I drive the car.

2017年8月31日 · I have no experience of AP1, but AP2 has been getting a lot better recently (as in over the last 6 months). It's still missing speed sign recognition, but otherwise I would imagine it is now well ahead of AP1 in terms of its driving algorithms and situational awareness. But in terms of basic functionality, nothing much has changed in the UK.

2023年7月18日 · AP1 > HW3/FSD I'm in the unexpected position of having AP1 (Model S 85) and HW3 (Model X) cars right now, and I can drive them both back to back. Absolutely AP1 delivers a better experience. The AP1 feature set is limited compared to FSD, but what it does, it does significantly better, at least from this user's perspective.
