Should I take APCR over APCBC? : r/Warthunder - Reddit
The American Explosive APCBC shells can be quite the crowd-pleaser at lower tiers though with their explosive mass killing most tanks in 1-2 shots, though lacking in penetration. APCR is great for heavy tanks and well armored vehicles that have flat armor, because of the shape of the shell however, sloped armor really throws it off and causes ...

Great tank, and it teaches you the ways of the sabot!

2025年1月9日 · Im just curious, haven’t read up much about sabot and its uses historically. My Challenger and my Comets Sabot at 5.3 deals very little spalling compared to APCBC. I’d argue that Sabot feels almost useless unless you wanna snipe the enemy tanks gunner. But even then the same could be achieved with the Mk.8 APCBC rounds

American APBC need a special reference shell for DeMarre formula
2024年12月15日 · War thunder now use DeMarre formula to calculate full caliber rounds’ penetrations. But DeMarre formula needs a reference shell as reference. The reference shell should be the same shell type as the one needs to calculate (Such as calculating the penetration of an APCBC shell, the reference shell should also be APCBC). Now, calculating American APBCs normally use standard pointed tip APBC as ...
