All GWPs depend on the AGWP for CO 2 (the denominator in the definition of the GWP). The AGWP of CO 2 again depends on the radiative efficiency for a small perturbation of CO 2 from the current level of about 380 ppm.

GWPs are calculated using a set time horizon. All GWPs used for GHG inventory purposes are considered over a 100-yr timeframe. GWPs are updated periodically with improvements to the underlying science. CARB uses 2007 IPCC AR4 GWPs for the current emissions inventory.
