Looking on Acer site for driver for my laptop, the wireless adapter driver mentioned is a different adapter brand entirely - "Wireless LAN Driver (Liteon) Date: 2016/12/19 Version: 7.35.267.0 Vendor: Broadcom" - so I'm afraid to use it.
