IARDC® provides online access to registration and discipline information regarding Illinois lawyers and information on a variety of topics relating to the Illinois Supreme Court’s regulation of the practice of law in Illinois.

The Program provides lawyers with information about professional responsibility law, legal precedent, bar association ethics opinions, law review articles and practical guidelines. The Program also aids the public in understanding the obligations that lawyers owe to the courts, clients and the profession.

To begin the ECF registration process, enter your Lastname, Firstname and type the code from the image in the text boxes on the right. Once your bar membership has been confirmed you will be prompted to enter your Illinois ARDC number or other state bar number. For best results. do not enter a middle name/initial unless yours is a common name.

This portal provides licensed Illinois attorneys access to on-demand legal education. All programs found on this platform are free and accredited for Illinois Minimum Continuing Legal Education (MCLE) credit. The MCLE Board is the arm of the Illinois Supreme Court tasked with administering the MCLE program.

One of the ARDC’s main purposes is to assist the Supreme Court in determining lawyers’ fitness to practice law in Illinois. To this end, we investigate complaints alleging illegal, unethical and dishonest conduct by lawyers and, if warranted, bring formal disciplinary charges.

The Illinois Supreme Court's Roll of Attorneys ("Roll") is a list of all attorneys admitted to practice law in Illinois. The Roll includes the names of lawyers even if they have not registered with the Attorney Registration and Disciplinary Commission ("ARDC"). The Roll is maintained by the Clerk of the Illinois Supreme Court.
