Found in Arp’s ‘Double Galaxies – Interacting’ class, these are located approximately 45 million light-years away (http://simbad.u-stra...AJ....152...50T) in Ursa Major.

From Virginia Beach , Arp 280 is visible in the morning sky, becoming accessible around 20:51, when it reaches an altitude of 21° above your north-eastern horizon. It will then reach its highest point in the sky at 03:22, 78° above your northern horizon. It will be lost to dawn twilight around 06:04, 58° above your north-western horizon.

2011年5月15日 · Arp 280/NGC 3769 is a pair of probably interacting galaxies in Ursa Major at a distance of 50 million light-years. Red shift puts it a bit closer at 44. It is a member of the Ursa Major Cloud of galaxies which are thought to range about 50 to 55 million light-years distant and includes M108 and M109 as its most famous members.
