ATM-X is one of four projects in NASA’s Airspace Operations and Safety Program (AOSP) within ARMD. The ATM-X technical goals, to be realized over two phases, are to explore alternate methods to incorporate new technologies into the NAS using a software “service-oriented paradigm” based on Unmanned Aerial System (UAS)
ATM-X Goals Goal. Develop a common framework for harmonization across airspace, aircraft, and infrastructure systems. Goal. Improve access to digital information across the NAS and for integration with other transportation modes. Goal. Enable integration of diverse aircraft and operations in the NAS while improving safety and efficiency. Goal
Provide a high level overview of ATM-X UAM Subproject, and NASA’s Advanced Aerial Mobility (AAM) mission. The objective of this task is to identify potential demand for Urban Air Mobility (UAM) in cities/urban areas, in suburban areas/regions, between nearby cities/regions.
