Santa Fe 2913 is a 4-8-4 locomotive, part of the Santa Fe Class 2900. It was built in 1943 and pulled freight and passenger trains until its retirement in 1959 and is now on display in a park in Fort Madison, Iowa, [3] having been donated to the town upon retirement. [4]

2913 is displayed at Riverview Park in Fort Madison, Iowa. 2921 was originally displayed at Beard Brook Park in Modesto. It is now displayed at the Modesto Amtrak Station in Modesto, California .

The Santa Fe No. 2913 is a 4-8-4 "Northern" type built by Baldwin in 1943 for the ATSF railroad. It pulled trains across the ATSF system until being retired in 1959. It is now currently on display at a park in Fort Madison, Iowa and is currently undergoing restoration.

All members of the AT&SF 2900 class of 4-8-4s were retired by 1959, but six examples survive including No. 2913, displayed in Fort Madison, Iowa between the BNSF "Transcon" main line and the riverfront park along the Mississippi. I took the digital photo there on September 23, 2013; note the distinctive AT&SF stack extension for improved draft.
