
NS acquired both GP59 and GP60 models. After the mega-mergers in the 1990s, the GP60s found themselves in new paint schemes and in service for new railroads such as UP and BNSF. I built the rounded dynamic brake hatch for a ATSF GP60 using the sides from an Athearn blue box GP50 dynamic brake hatch and the top of the Proto hatch. Dave's photos are a big help. I didn't have them when I built mine and I made a couple of small mistake due to assumptions.
