NS acquired both GP59 and GP60 models. After the mega-mergers in the 1990s, the GP60s found themselves in new paint schemes and in service for new railroads such as UP and BNSF. CSX began to acquire GP60s second hand after 2010. Being assigned to locals and yard jobs, these distinctive locomotives are still in service today. Sound Ready!

I built the rounded dynamic brake hatch for a ATSF GP60 using the sides from an Athearn blue box GP50 dynamic brake hatch and the top of the Proto hatch. Dave's photos are a big help. I didn't have them when I built mine and I made a couple of small mistake due to assumptions.

This locomotive was 59 feet 9 inches long and featured a 3,700-US-gallon (14,000 L) fuel tank. The GP60 series shared the same frame as the GP59. Cabless 'B' units of this locomotive model were also built; they were known as GP60B models. Units built with a North American Safety Cab were designated GP60M.

2009年6月14日 · It is my understanding by Frank's posts at his forum that he infact does have a full line of GP's in the works, wethier that means the GP50 and 59 is not clear yet, we shall see soon. Been working on this for awhile. Heres a shot of my new gp60 in prog.
