2012年11月1日 · What is the purpose of the 8 pin ATX 12v Power Connector plug-in at the top of my mobo (noob question). I assume it's some sort of auxiliary power? Also, my psu is semi-modular and the cable for this is just barely long enough to reach if I stretch it across the mobo, is there an extension cable I can buy so I can route it through the back?

2018年9月25日 · Years ago, the ATX protocol called for a 20-pin connector for the motherboard. That changed over time to a 20+4 pin or 24-pin connector. A few other changes were made as well, mostly in the available voltages at the connector. The PSU name changed along with it to ATX12V. But today, the name ATX and ATX12V are used interchangeably.

2012年8月28日 · The two ATX connecors , ATX 1 and ATX 2 should be from the same psu and if you try to mix in another psu on the same motherboard you will have issues. The newer power supplies are now coming with to ATX power connectors just for those boards that take two ATX connectors. You also cannot use the 8 pin Pcie connector for the second ATX connector.

2022年7月17日 · Atx = 12v, 12v-, 5vVsb, 3.3v etc. All necessary to motherboard function. Atx12vo = 12v, 12v-. The minor rails are supplied by transformers built into the motherboard directly. Just because your car has an engine, doesn't mean it'll run on diesel. Or conversely your truck might not run on gasoline.

2022年8月10日 · For the PSU I was looking into a "xpg core reactor 850w" but I've notice that my motherboard's manual says it needs a "ATX 12V 8 pin with especifications 2.0 (or above)" (though the website says EATX 12V), and this PSU has ATX 12v 4+4 pin cables.

2011年5月7日 · All 24 pin "main" connectors are the same (ATX spec) and it's the same for the 12V 4/4+4/8 pin CPU power connectors. Normally, the 4 pin connector is called the ATX 12V CPU connector, and the 4+4 or 8 pin (same thing) connector is called the EATX 12V CPU connector.
New build, won't power up with ATX 12v connected
2015年8月2日 · I was using corsair sleeved cables for the atx 12v power supply. I swapped it to the stock PSU cable with no gpu and I got post. Installed the gpu with sleeves cables, no post, put stock PSU cables on video card and bingo success...looks like no sleeves cables for me.
