Undertale Alternate Universe (AUs) are what-if changes to the universe of Undertale. AU categories are used to differentiate AUs and to avoid confusion between AUs (categories are not AUs themselves). An AU can fit under multiple categories. The basic types of AUs.

Undertale Alternate Universes, or "AUs", are alterations to the story, world, and/or characters of Undertale, be it crossovers, changes in aesthetic, or role-swaps. "AU" is an umbrella term that includes "ATs". Inverted Fate is an Undertale AU taking place after a failed True Pacifist run.

The Star Sanses is a group that consists out of Ink Sans, Dream Sans and Underswap Sans. The group's appearances are usually dependent on how the artist draws them or what AU they are in...
