The historic AUC Tahrir Square campus is a landmark and cultural oasis in the heart of Cairo. A gathering place for lovers of literature, theatre and all forms of arts and cultureer. The campus includes the School of Continuing Education and AUC Bookstore.

One of the most significant buildings was the new Business School facility. The School of Business is housed in the new Abdul Latif Jameel Hall on the new AUC campus. The facility houses an enrollment of 1,200 undergraduate and 300 graduate students within the school’s departments of Management, Economics, Journalism and Communications.

Two AUC buildings located further from the core campus group include a ten-story dormitory in the Zamalek area of Cairo providing housing for students and faculty, and a building in the Heliopolis area used primarily for continuing education classes. AUC also has an extensive housing program for relocated faculty and staff.

The AUC New Cairo Campus is designed to accommodate 5,500 full-time students and 1,500 faculty and staff on 260-acres as a technologically advanced and environmentally sensitive campus to offer state-of-the-art resources to students and faculty worldwide.

The American University in Cairo Buildings Collection contains documentation, maps, plans, and similar material relating to the planning and construction of AUC buildings. Collection materials are in English . Unprocessed collections are subject to review by University Archives staff before access is granted to identify restricted material.

Facilities of the Department of Architecture include modern ICT laboratories, design studios, and a building sciences laboratory. These labs house an environmental chamber, laser cutting and 3D printing facilities. The design studio is at the core of the architectural academic process in the Department of Architecture at AUC.
