Abiel Peak is a 5,365 ft (1,640 m) mountain summit located in eastern King County of Washington state. [4] It is set 1,000 feet west of the crest of the Cascade Range, on land managed by Mount Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest.

Abiel Peak is a mountain located in the central Cascade Mountains of Washington State, several miles southwest of Snoqualmie Pass. Situated between popular hiking and climbing destinations, Silver Peak and Tinkham Peak, Abiel Peak is commonly overlooked by outdoor enthusiasts.

Silver, Tinkham & Abiel Peaks. Scrambling all three of these peaks is a challenging 12 miles and 4,000 feet of elevation gain. Scramble one or any pair for a moderate outing. Enjoy expansive views of the Snoqualmie Pass area from all of these peaks.

Tinkham Peak and Abiel Peak are two of the popular objectives to the immediate south of Snoqualmie Pass. They are often combined with the area’s highest and the only one with over 600 m prominence, Silver Peak to make a full day’s outing but I happened to have already done Silver Peak a couple years ago separately as a winter ascent.

2024年9月26日 · Abiel, Silver, East Tinkham and the ridge walks are all class 1 walk-ups, though the routes get quite steep close to each peak. West Tinkham has a little class 2, but holds are all good and it is quite straightforward with no exposure. Still a few blueberries up high, but it's the end of the season for them.

On the "snow ramp" below the north face of Abiel Peak, careful to walk far enough away from the little debris slides off the cliffs. This was my 20 min of sun today. View from Abiel across to Silver Peak, my next destination.

2024年7月26日 · We opted to hike the peaks in the sequence – Silver, Abiel, Tinkham West, traverse to Tinkham East, circumnavigate Mirror lake, and follow the PCT back to the trailhead. The PCT is a beautiful and generally well-maintained trail. We hiked South with a gradual incline to the cutoff for Silver Peak at about 1.8 miles.
