1/30/19 - This is a scarce Walther P.38, marked ac 40 on slide, one of only ~12,000 produced. This is a lower production total than early zero series Walthers or first-year production Mauser byf 42's. The original finish on this one rates at about 80%, with the majority of thinning on the front strap and the right side of the slide.

Walther P.38 ac40 (Nazi German, Early Gun) Description: This is an "ac40" Walther P.38 pistol. The gun is all-,atching, save for the magazine, which is matched to a different pistol. The bore is excellent. We would rate it about 85%. The decocker does not function, which is very common on these early guns.

9x19mm; 97% blue, very good bore, excellent grips, 4 7/8'' barrel, Professionally restored finish AC40 P.38 pistol, very well done. Matching serial numbers including the dark mottled brown bakelite grips.

2020年10月7日 · Walther P-38 AC40 all matching (except mag) early war P-38 in excellent condition. Nice early example 1940 production with high polish finish. Referred to by many collectors as the third variation of 1940 production only 14,000 examples were produced.

2019年1月26日 · To begin with, the gun was completely disassembled, cleaned and lightly lubricated. Each of its pieces was visually inspected using a flashlight and a 10X magnifying glass, to assess its condition, originality and operational status.

2011年12月1日 · Condition is what you would expect form a military pistol 71 years old. I would rate the condition very good - no rust or major scuff marks - bluing 75-80%. Decocker, safety, hammer and trigger mechanizm all appear to work as they should.

This is a highly desirable "ac40" code, manufactured by Walther in December, 1940. These early P.38 pistols were beautifully made and had an attractive, commercial quality, high polish blue finish. All of the various small parts are individually waffenamt accepted and stamped with the small Eagle/359.
