The Advisory Committee on Accessible Transit (ACAT) provides a mechanism for ongoing public participation in decisions affecting accessible transit in the City of Toronto. The Committee is comprised of volunteer members and reports to the Board of the Toronto Transit Commission.

The TTC is looking for new volunteer members for its Advisory Committee on Accessible Transit (ACAT). Applications are being accepted until Septembe r 12 at ttc.ca/acat.
The 2025 ASP has been prepared with ample feedback from customers, the TTC Planning Advisory Group, TTC’s ACAT Service Planning Subcommittee, front-line staff, community and members of the public through extensive engagement and activities in summer and fall 2024.
ACAT members are providing advice to ensure that Easier Access Phase 3 is on track, in addition to having preliminary discussions regarding Phase 4. Members have also been involved in improving the Third Party Entrance Connection Policy and the impact of bicycle lanes on TTC/Wheel-Trans service. Stay safe, stay well.
Advisory Committee on Accessible Transit (ACAT) ACAT Overview • Toronto citizens who advise the TTC on difficulties faced by people with disabilities and seniors. • Recommends the elimination of barriers to accessible public transit in the City of Toronto. • ACAT consists of 15 volunteer committee members who are appointed by the TTC Board.
