Mar 21, 2023 · ACiQ can technically work with other thermostats, but you may not get the full experience. In my case with the ecobee, if you go off-brand, you might lose some key features. It can't handle dual stage cooling, dual stage heating, and the emergency aux heat like the ACiQ's own thermostat can. It was limited to 4 stages.

Jul 26, 2023 · ACiq is also branded as Airquest which is owned by ICP (International Comfort products) which in turn is manufactured by Carrier Global Corporation. I have installed two of their systems and they have worked flawlessly and were identical to the Carrier products / ICP. I think it is a great product for the price and the quality I have seen so far.

Also, the ACiQ seems to have better heat output at lower temperatures or at least more detailed information about the capacity at lower temperatures. I think this may be offset by the ACiQ having a lower rating overall at lower temperatures for heating. Here is the submittal for the ACiQ unit.
