A COR/SECOR shows that the employer’s Health and Safety Management System (HSMS) has been evaluated by a certified auditor and meets provincial standards established by Partnerships in Injury Reduction (PIR). ACSA’s SECOR program is a way for small employers to improve their health and safety performance, create a workplace culture of proactive health and safety, and reduce the risk and costs associated with workplace incidents.

ACSA’s Action Plan offers companies an alternative way to maintain their COR or SECOR. Action Plans allow COR and SECOR members a way to make their health and safety programs better by implementing suggestions for improvements from their previous audits and safety objectives that may be outside of their normal audit scopes.

Acquire a Small Employer Certificate of Recognition (SECOR) The Safety Program Development course will provide you with the tools and information required to set up a successful audit. The course is available in class or virtual classroom.

Your safety program is audited annually to confirm the CFCSA National COR® Accreditation Standard or that the SECOR® provincial standard is met . Audits are to be completed by a qualified and competent auditor and must follow the prescribed audit instrument of the Construction Safety Association of Manitoba.
